CHAVEZ-DEREMER: Hi, I'm Lori Chavez-DeRemer. I'm the mayor of Happy Valley and I'm running for state representative. I've been married almost 25 years to my husband, Sean. We moved here over 16 years ago to raise our twin daughters in Happy Valley. I'm running for state representative because I want all Oregonians to have the same opportunities that Happy Valley residents have had over the last six years that I've been mayor. Excellent schools, safe streets, and access to good jobs.

We all know that Salem is broken. Partisan politics is tearing our state apart. As a nonpartisan mayor, I know how to get things done. Sixteen years ago, we chose to raise our family in Oregon. When my twin daughters get ready to graduate college and have families of their own, I want them to know that Oregon is still the best place.
