GAY: Parenting has its painful moments, and its big triumphs. Raising kids is amazing, but it isn't easy. And it's harder when the deck is stacked against working parents and working people.

I'm Kyle Evans Gay. Here in Delaware, I was frustrated that too many families didn't have the support they needed. So I did something about it. I ran for State Senate, and started passing bills to make things easier for working families.

Raising the minimum wage and providing security for our seniors. Fighting for childcare that working families can actually afford, and protecting abortion rights and voting rights for people across our state.

That's what's possible with new leaders and smart ideas, but Delawareans know we have a lot more work to do. That's why I'm running for lieutenant governor: to make sure Delaware works for working people. With strong schools and job opportunities that let people advance, safe communities where people can thrive, and a commitment to making the promise of reproductive freedom a reality for every Delawarean. So families can focus on the things that matter most, like making sure the Tooth Fairy knows where to find this.
