Good morning. Renee Ellmers from North Carolina. I serve the second district. Today we see the opportunity for small businesses to get a tax cut. Back in my district that’s what I hear from small business owners, "Isn’t there something you can do to help us?" And a tax cut is a wonderful way to do that. As Majority Leader Cantor pointed out, a third of small businesses are owned by women, and the numbers are rising on the number of small businesses that are being started by women. What a better way to empower women and business owners across this country than with a tax cut. As the Senate is voting on penalties with taxes, let’s empower our business owners. Let’s empower women with these issues. Let’s let the Senate get back to the idea of passing a budget, and leave the tax issues alone and come and join us on empowerment. Thank you.
